Q: What program and
format should I use to word process my work?
A: Microsoft Word. Since we use the 'track changes' feature you can
easily identify our suggestions, which will appear in red on your returned copy. Of course, you have the final say on whether
you accept or reject them! We will also hardmail the completed document, as well, if you would like us to. Please e-mail your
work as a virus-free attachment to: editor@palmspringswriter.com.
Q: What information should I include when I
submit my document to editor@palmspringswriter.com?
A: In the body of your e-mail message, please include the following
information: full name; company or university name (if applicable); e-mail address to which you want the work returned; your
telephone number and time zone; specific services you desire; and, date you need the work completed. Remember to attach your
project to the email!
Q: What is the turnaround time?
A: We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving
your document with a timeframe and a contract. A project of one to ten pages will be completed and returned to you via e-mail
(and/or hardmail,if you prefer) within four days of original submission. Longer documents may take additional time and a completion
date will be e-mailed to you once we receive your submission.
Q: I can't wait that long! I need a rush job.
Can you help me?
A: We will do our best to accommodate you, and most likely can. If you need work completed within
48 hours of submission, call or e-mail us and let us know your deadline. We'll respond promptly with an answer.
Q:
How do I pay for services?
A: A 50% retainer fee in the form of a check, debit or or credit card payment via
PayPal is required before work commences. The remainder is due within one week of completion.
Q: What are your
qualifications for helping prepare scholarly publications and dissertations?
A: We have published more than 150 articles
in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, three books, and many other scholarly literary media. We are familiar with APA
and medical style guidelines and have served on or chaired nearly 100 doctoral dissertation committes. In addition, we have
more than 45 years of combined full-time experience in graduate academic departments at accredited universities.

What about writing for popular, business, and technical media?
A: Our staff have extensive experience with all of
these types of writing. This includes writing and editing newsletters and newspaper columns, preparing and editing text for
popular websites, writing a career guide, and editing press releases.
Q: What are your areas of particular expertise?
A:
We have extensive training and experience in psychology and related disciplines, environmental science, statistics, plant
science, botany, and interpersonal relationships. We have also done extensive writing in other areas, including medicine,
business, and literature. If you need technical information molded into an interesting and understandable format for the layperson,

Q: Will Palm Springs Writing Springs help me write papers, theses, and other
required work for my graduate or undergraduate degree?
A: We will provide editing and proofreading services to improve
the clairy and enhance the professionalism of your work, including correcting errors in grammar, use of tense, and spelling.
We will also help you format your work to conform to APA and other standards, but the writing must be your own.
